Surely, God will judge every deed, whether good or bad

"Surely, God will judge every deed, whether good or bad." (Ecclesiastes 12:14)

And in the New Testament, Saint Paul says:

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad." (2 Corinthians 5:10)

There are countless scriptures about God's justice. If I start explaining them all, it would take a long time. But from the verses we've read, one thing becomes crystal clear: God will certainly judge.

If we accept this truth, that everything written in the Word is true, and if we believe that one day we will have to stand before God's judgment throne, we will become completely different people. We will start living a new, pure life.

In a world that is running toward evil, drowning in sin, and indulging in wickedness, we, as God's people, must shine. We must stand apart from those who don’t know God's Word, who have never read the Bible. We must not be tied to the earth like others, but instead live a holy, elevated life.

Being tied to the earth means being enslaved by worldly desires—running after the same things the world chases: money, fame, and temporary pleasures. When our goals and ambitions match the world’s, we lose our distinct identity as God's people.

In John 11, we read about Lazarus. When he was dead and lying in the tomb, Jesus called out:

"Lazarus, come out!"

And Lazarus, though he had come back to life, stepped out of the grave still bound—his hands, feet, and face wrapped in burial cloths.

Isn't this the condition of many Christians today? Alive but still bound. Alive, but wrapped in the grave clothes of superstition, traditions, false doctrines, and human systems.

We have become slaves to these traditions. When I travel to different places, I see how church leaders and false prophets continue to trap people in these man-made systems. The very systems from which Jesus came to set us free.

Today, more than ever, the church needs to break free.

Free from false teachings.

Free from empty rituals.

Free from the lies that have bound it for generations.

We need the truth of God's Word to set us free. Only Jesus can break these chains.

The Reality of God’s Judgment

The Book of Revelation describes Jesus in His glorified state:

"The hair on His head was white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of rushing waters." (Revelation 1:14-15)

John, who had walked with Jesus, leaned on His chest, and witnessed His miracles, fell "like a dead man" when he saw the glorified Christ.

Now imagine this:

If John, the beloved disciple, couldn't stand before Jesus in His glory, how will we?

No one will send a lawyer to represent them.

No pastor will stand beside you and say, "I know this man. He made mistakes, but let him go."

No!

On that day, each of us will stand alone before the throne of judgment.

Now, picture that day:

Cities where crime runs rampant.

People killing for money.

Drug dealers destroying lives.

Politicians deceiving nations with lies.

The rich oppressing the poor.

Millions consumed by immorality and wickedness.

All will stand before Jesus.

No one will escape.

You might say, "I don't remember much. My memory is weak."

But on that day, everything will come back.

Your entire life will be laid bare.

The Bible says:

"But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken." (Matthew 12:36)

Not only for the sinful words we spoke, but also for:

The good deeds we could have done but didn’t.

The acts of kindness we did for selfish motives.

The ministries we served in with impure intentions.

What About Your Work for God?

What about your YouTube channel—the one you started for God's glory?

Are you doing it out of love for God and compassion for lost souls?

Or is it just for views, fame, and monetary gain?

If our hearts are not purified by the blood of Jesus, if our motives are not aligned with God's purposes, then even our religious work will be judged.

A Hard but Necessary Truth

If anyone is reading this and thinking:

"This is too hard to hear."

"I can't bear this kind of message."

Then turn it off. Close this message. Stop listening.

Go, live however you want.

But remember:

When you stand before Jesus on that great day, when the angels are commanded to cast you into the eternal fire, you will cry and scream:

"Why didn’t I listen?"

"Why didn’t I repent?"

"Why did I ignore the truth?"

The flames of hell will burn forever, yet the desires of the flesh will remain.

If you loved alcohol, you'll still crave it—but never get a drop.

If you loved lust, that desire will rage within you—but never be satisfied.

The torment will never end.

The Bible says:

"Where the worms that eat them do not die, and the fire is not quenched." (Mark 9:44)

I won't give you false comfort.

I won’t tell you that God understands your struggles and that grace will cover unrepentant sin.

No!

The Call to Repentance

I'm telling you now, with love and urgency:

Repent!

Turn away from sin!

Abandon every evil practice!

Let go of:

Lust and immoral thoughts.

Addictions that enslave you.

Gossip and slander.

Greed and selfish ambition.

Jesus' sacrifice wasn’t cheap.

His blood wasn’t shed for us to continue living in sin.

Now is the time!

Today is the day of salvation!

---

Repent before it's too late.

Turn back to Jesus.

Because on that day…

When His blazing eyes pierce through your soul…

When the books of your life are opened…

When you stand, trembling, before His throne…

No excuse will save you.

---

May the Lord give you grace to repent and live a holy life. Amen.
